Taye Specialty the outside and inside plys of this drum are Walnut, while the core plys are Maple. Also featuring 6 ply maple sound rings top and bottom for added tone. The Walnut creates a sharp attack, while the Maple adds fuller tone and sustain. In our pursuit to bring more and more unique drum offerings to the world, Taye Specialty is a product line that serves as a launching point for many new and or limited edition models.

Some releases may be limited to short production runs of 100 or less, while others could be transformed into long-term production models. Regardless, you are sure to have an instrument that represent years of percussion craftsmanship and experience.
